What is Cellulite?
Visually, cellulite refers to lumpy, bumpy, or uneven skin that typically appears on the buttocks, thighs, and hips.
The condition occurs when connective bands deep in the body pull down more on some deposits of subcutaneous fat than others, leading to visual unevenness at the level of the skin.
Cellulite can appear on patients of all shapes and sizes and has a strong genetic component. Some women appear to be particularly predisposed to the condition, even if they lead healthy lifestyles.

About Cellulite
Cellulite refers to a type of fat build-up under the skin. Instead of forming into smooth deposits, tough collagen bands that compartmentalize fat in the body tug on it more in some places than others, leading to a lumpy appearance.
Women tend to experience cellulite more than men and the condition can get worse with aging as the supporting collagen-based structures lose their elasticity.
Environmental factors can also contribute to the development of cellulite. A poor diet, unhealthy lifestyle, toxins, weight gain, inactivity, and pregnancy all increase the risk of developing the condition.
