What Are the Side Effects of CoolSculpting?
If you’re looking to reduce fat cells in certain areas of your body without having to undergo surgery, CoolSculpting may be a good option for you. But you may have questions about the side effects or how Coolsculpting works. At Capital Laser and Skin Care, we’re here to not only answer questions but to teach you a little more about this new treatment.

What Can I Expect Treatment To Be Like?
CoolSculpting is entirely non-invasive. That means that you can expect treatments to be delivered without anesthesia and the recovery time is minimal. After your initial consultation with our specialists, treatments can be done in a single office visit. As an added bonus, the treatments at Capital Laser and Skin Care are done with the most advanced CoolSculpting technology on the market, meaning that you can expect a maximum outcome with minimal side effects.
During each treatment, the CoolSculpting applicator is placed on the targeted area. Initially, it will be rather cold with some patients reporting a pulling or tugging sensation, but those sensations will quickly subside as the area becomes numb. After the treatment is finished, your provider will do a quick massage to the area to stimulate fat reduction. Once the massage is completed, patients are free to return to their daily activities – no downtime necessary.
Is CoolSculpting Safe?
To put it simply, yes. CoolSculpting is FDA-approved and has been proven to be effective in reducing fat cells on nine areas of the body. In fact, our team at Capital Laser and Skin Care has been at the forefront of CoolSculpting’s research and development. We love CoolSculpting, and we’re sure that you will love the results it delivers.

Capital laser and skin care is the best dermatology practice I’ve ever been to. I’ve seen both Dr. Peters and Dr. Tanzi, who are both extremely intelligent, caring, highly skilled, practical – and gorgeous! The staff is excellent – very caring, skilled, excellent training, professional, and easy to talk to. I highly recommend Capital Laser to anyone seeking to take fabulous care of their skin. You will be in the best hands here.
