SKINVIVE™ uses a molecule called hyaluronic acid to achieve its results. Hyaluronic acid, a common ingredient in skincare products, attracts moisture and holds it in the skin. As a result, skin looks smoother and more hydrated. Unlike moisturizers applied to the skin’s surface, which is made of dead cells, the hydration supplied by SKINVIVE™ comes from within your skin. 

SKINVIVE™ is injected into the cheek area. A lit-from-within glow in the cheek area makes the entire face look brighter and more hydrated. The hyaluronic acid begins attracting moisture immediately. It will continue to add more over the following days. This increases the hydration available to your skin cells to stay plump and healthy.

Your SKINVIVE™ treatment usually takes less than half an hour. You will receive several injections in your cheek area. These injections may feel like a minor pinch. Many people feel almost nothing. SKINVIVE™ injections are quick and convenient. Other treatments to achieve glowing skin can take up to an hour and may require downtime. You can have a SKINVIVE™ treatment on your lunch break and return to work on time.

Your SKINVIVE™ results may be noticeable immediately after treatment. However, they will develop over the next few days as your skin becomes hydrated. This hydration from within will lead to glowing, smooth-looking cheeks. You will not see any changes to the volume or shape of your cheeks. Unlike other Juvederm® family members, SKINVIVE™ uses microdroplets that spread out for an even, natural appearance that looks like you but with brighter, healthier skin. 

By deeply hydrating the skin, SKINVIVE™ may improve texture and signs of aging for some patients. It can help smooth out fine lines and uneven texture and can even stimulate collagen production.

There is no downtime after SKINVIVE™. You may notice minor swelling or bruising in the treatment area that fades within a few days. Many people do not experience any effects. You can return to your usual activities immediately. However, you should follow your expert injector’s recommendations for aftercare to ensure your best results.

SKINVIVE™ is safe for all skin types and tones. Good candidates for this treatment want to improve skin’s texture and hydration. They should have reasonable expectations and goals. People who want to see an increase in cheek definition may benefit from an appropriate Juvederm® filler. Candidates for SKINVIVE™ have the cheek volume they want but desire a smoother, more vibrant appearance. 

You may not be a good candidate for SKINVIVE™ if you have certain medical conditions. You should not have any injectable treatments if you have an infection or active skin condition in the treatment area. People who have had a negative reaction to hyaluronic acid fillers in the past should not have SKINVIVE™.
