Dermal fillers are injectable solutions that add volume and smoothness to the face. At Capital Laser, we currently offer patients hyaluronic acid gel fillers such as Juvederm®, Belotero Balance®, and Restylane®; volumizing fillers like Radiesse®; and collagen-stimulating products such as Sculptra®. 

By offering a variety of formulas and options, we can help you with a wide range of skin concerns and find the exact filler that’s best for you. We’ll discuss these options and their benefits with you. Some of our most popular fillers are:

  • Juvederm® Voluma™ XC – Voluma™ is used to add volume to correct age-related volume loss in the cheeks and create a more youthful appearance.
  • Juvederm® Volbella™ XC – Volbella™ is a dermal filler that adds subtle volume to lips and softens the appearance of vertical lip lines.
  • Belotero Balance® – like Juvederm® fillers, Belotero Balance® is made with hyaluronic acid. It’s designed to smooth superficial lines and wrinkles on your face and lips.
  • Restylane® Refyne and Restylane® Defyne – these enhanced elastic fillers offer superior flexibility and support for natural-appearing improvement in areas of high facial movement.
  • The RHA® Collection – this new line of hyaluronic acid fillers is designed to replicate the HA in your body more closely. Ideal for dynamic wrinkles, RHA® fillers provide long-lasting, natural-looking results.
  • Sculptra® – unlike other fillers, Sculptra® improves volume and skin health by boosting collagen. Its poly-L-lactic acid formula acts like a seed to grow new collagen for more youthful skin.
  • Radiesse® – this calcium-based filler has a thick formula perfect for enhancing the cheeks or jawline. It also helps promote collagen production for long-term benefits.

Additional dermal filler options for enhancement of the lips include Juvederm® Ultra and Restylane® Silk. These fillers add more fullness and plump thin lips—whether your lips have thinned over time or you simply want fuller lips.

Capital Laser also offers other injectable treatments depending on your needs. Botox®, a neuromodulator of botulinum type A, is another popular injection option used to enhance the face. This neurotoxin is used to relax the muscles that cause frown lines and other overactive muscles of the face, like forehead lines and crow’s feet, giving you a younger appearance. Botox® is just one brand of neuromodulator, and we also offer Dysport®, Xeomin®, Jeuveau®, and the new Daxxify™. Additionally, Capital Laser offers Kybella® injections to reduce submental fat (double chin).

All soft tissue filler injections are performed by our board-certified dermatologists, Dr. Elizabeth Tanzi, Dr. Geeta Shah, and Dr. Tania Peters. They will determine the right filler for you during your thorough consultation. Our dermatologists closely examine your skin and facial structure to develop a customized treatment plan for achieving your personal goals. With over 20 years of experience with dermal fillers, our dermatologists specialize in blending multiple filler types for a highly personalized approach to each patient.

After cleansing the treatment area, one of our dermatologists will strategically inject your chosen dermal fillers to add subtle volume. Depending on your goals and treatment plan, this may involve several injections. Most fillers contain a numbing agent to minimize any discomfort.

Administering each syringe in a slow and careful manner, our physicians deliver natural-looking results while taking care to minimize bruising. In addition, our filler treatments are performed using the AccuVein® device to identify blood vessels, which helps to minimize bruising. If bruising does occur, we offer a complimentary laser treatment to minimize its appearance. Dermal fillers restore volume and help create smoothness and symmetry in your facial features. Your exact results will depend on your unique procedure, such as where you had the injections, which filler(s) was used, and how much. You can receive follow-up dermal fillers as needed to maintain your results, and you may find that the effects last longer with repeated treatments.

With most fillers, you’ll see immediate improvements to your facial volume and smoothness. Depending on the type of dermal filler, your results will likely last from six months to a couple of years. Hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm typically last around a year, though the RHA® Collection can last up to 15 months. Injections in facial areas with little movement usually last longer than areas with more movement, like the lips.

Dermal fillers don’t require any downtime. You can return to your regular routine immediately after your appointment, making these injectable treatments quick and convenient even for a busy schedule. Some bruising or redness at the injection site is possible, but our board-certified dermatologists do everything possible to minimize these side effects.
