Over time, the skin can lose its youthful glow due to sun damage and the natural aging process. As a result, the skin may develop sunspots, fine lines, rough texture and enlarged pores. Previously, lasers couldn’t effectively remove many of these skin concerns simultaneously because the treatment was either too shallow or too deep. However, Halo’s dual laser wavelength technology works to treat multiple signs of sun damage and age with a single treatment to restore a bright, vibrant appearance.
Halo is the first hybrid laser that delivers both ablative and non-ablative fractional skin resurfacing treatments simultaneously. It combines deep dermal rejuvenation with epidermal renewal for a combined synergistic effect in a single treatment. It works well for fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, rough skin texture and uneven skin tone. Halo can address years of sun damage by precisely targeting specific layers within the skin.
All Halo laser treatments are performed by the board certified dermatologists at Capital Laser & Skin Care. Our physicians skillfully customize the treatment to meet your specific needs. Whether you want to refresh your skin and have a Halo “glow” for a big presentation in a few days, or you want to look your best for an upcoming wedding or reunion, our physicians can perform lighter to more intense treatments that fit perfectly within your schedule.
Before Halo laser treatment, your physician may prescribe medications to begin prior to the appointment. Topical anesthetic cream for 30-60 minutes will be applied immediately before treatment to ensure a comfortable Halo laser procedure. Most patients experience a slight warming sensation during treatment with very little, if any, discomfort. The treated skin is pink for 24-36 hours after which it may begin to lightly peel. After two or three days, a “bronzed” appearance to the skin develops. which gently flakes off for most patients by five to six days after treatment. Makeup can be applied 24 hours after a Halo treatment or as instructed by your physician. Initial results are seen five to seven days after a Halo treatment, and the skin will continue to improve over time as the collagen regeneration phase continues in the deeper layers of skin for several months. Depending on the condition being addressed and intensity of treatment, your physician may recommend either a single or multiple Halo treatments to achieve the best results.
